[There's so much to do in one day around Luceti, if you only put your mind to it. Take two enterprising, bored souls, give them a fight scenario and the arena in which to implement it, and enough free time, and bam! Instant entertainment. Two souls engaged in an epic battle to the finish with their strangely elemental animal companions. A champion-strength trainer and a laid-back but motivated beginner. Imagine the spectacle!

So it's much more fun when a very large and colorful bird - with four wings! - comes half-flying, half-drifting down into the middle of your crazy pokémon training, right boys?]


[Voiced, later on]

["You" doesn't acknowledge the protest, choosing to make his announcement instead.]

Hey, hey, hey Luuuuceti! We've got a charming young lady here, and she's got a problem! You see, some dastardly fiend has stolen her clothes, so whoever did that---

[A solid strike sound, when the other guy punches Masaomi in the face.]

Has anyone ever told you about a little thing called manners?

[The journal changes hands again, to arguably safer hands this time as Silver snatches it away.]

[It only takes a moment for her to change into her human self. In only a New Feather dress and a single set of wings, she looks less threatening. Then she kneels, and forget any kind of intimidation period.]

Who are you? [Definitely the same voice as the bird. She gives Silver and Masaomi cold looks, reserving a calmer expression for Sneasel and Linda.]

[He said, tugging at his overshirt. Which in turn allows Linda to drop, who catches herself with a brief burst of Magnet Rise]

Or you could just call him [Masamoron] Masaomi.

[It's too late. They've already seen her as a bird, and seen her change, and the suspicious looks have happened.]

[Masaomi just bats his eyelashes. No really. He does]

...Hmph. It's Raven.

[Still half-kneeling on the ground and staring at them, her eyes drop to Sneasel and Linda again.]

And them? [Sneasel, in particular, gets a calmer, interested look. The same one with which he seems to be regarding her.]

[Linda gives a little dismissive wave, you were cooler as a bird. But she also jerks a claw at her face and puffs out her chest.]

...That's my partner, Linda.

[tsuntrader]

[Sneasel quietly waves at Raven with a rather enthusiastic look on his face. Silver takes a moment to wince a little before chiming in with-] And this is my buddy Sneasel.

They don't talk.

[Sharp eyes will catch a smile that happens in the space of a blink, when Sneasel waves.]

What am I doing here? [If she didn't feel so woozy she'd stand up and talk to them like an adult.]

[You know what, this kneeling is silly. Masaomi sighs and brushes past Sneasel and Linda to get on up in front of Raven, crouch down, and offer a hand for her so she can get up.

Worth noting: The simulation they had assumed was over is in fact not. After all, they are still at a lakeside and they are still in the room.

...And there is very likely some pokemon approaching to come fight them]

You're- [...Wait, no. There's something important going on right now. And that's why Silver promptly directs his attention at the simulated Pokémon. Come on, Sneasel, let's take care of this quickly and easily.]

[All attempts to get up without taking Masaomi's hand are thwarted when the "sky" spins in her vision. ...Fine. Fine. She'll take his hand to get up.

Only to goggle at the incoming pokemon.]

[...Why are there giant fucking sea- gyarados. Four gyaradoses surging out of the water and Masaomi flinches while Linda races up to get next to Silver so she can beat them up despite them being hundreds of times her size]

...More or less.

You're not done yet, Masaomi. [Sure, he could end this in one swift motion, but this isn't his training. He does, however, have Sneasel use Ice Beam on the water which provides a rather convenient strip of "land" to get up in their face and take care of them. ...If he doesn't slip, that is.

Get going, hero.]

You're here to fight them?

[If necessary she'll change back. She has no sword to fight this way, and feels like she shouldn't rely on her fire magic.]

[Ugh, but he was helping her stand... Fine. He shrugs out to let Raven stand alone he and he'll get onto the ice with Linda, waving his baton... Man his baton feels useless here. He sighs to himself.]

Silver, this is way too harsh...

[The four serpents, at least, are clearly going for "intimidation" right now more than just anything else. It's clearly working at least a little on Linda. Masaomi frowns... Actually, maybe he should try that now...]

[and he snaps his fingers. Despite Linda's fear, she swallows it and claps her tail together with a paw for a sonic boom of a Fake Out. Good, it worked on all four, it'll buy him time. He drops the baton and reaches into one of his pocket---

...Shit, he doesn't have on the ninja vest, so he doesn't have all of them, he only has two. Well whatever, two's better than none. Kunai with cables of metal tied to them. He throws them at the Gyaradoes. At is is, both hit, but one of them doesn't embed itself, bouncing instead off the scales.

Bah.

Linda does take the hint though, and grabs the cable to deliver a Thundershock up it, which hits the Gyarados through the cable.

...That only takes out one of them though, and possibly not for good.

Which makes it unfortunate when one of the others goes in for a bite]

Put those weapons away, Masaomi. [He and Sneasel at least support Masaomi and Linda, if only to hit the Gyarados going in for a bite. Of course, "hitting the Gyarados going in for a bite" is more like "landing an Ice Punch that freezes its jaw shutm knocks it backwards, and sends it crashing down into the water." Holding back isn't the best idea with some new bird girl with them, even if it's just a simulation.

Two left. Keep going, junior.]

[It's apparent they're dangerous. Raven steps forward and changes form, rising into the air to go after one of the ones remaining with fire and wind blasts from the sky.]

It's just a kunai. [But wow, the bird is back. He blinks and then-]

Linda, go for a Tail Whip and move on to quick attack.

[with a pat on the girl's head. Linda nods, and moves to whack it with her tail, leap back, and then Quick Attack the final one into the face. Incidentally, the one Raven hit isn't entirely out of the game is is raising it's tail for an Aqua Tail.

...Masaomi grits his teeth, still on the ice]

[Wait, don't- ...Nope, the bird girl's adding into this. It creates an interesting scenario for Masaomi, at least. And hey, he's not terribly concerned. The safety's on. He won't get hurt. Come on, Masaomi. Think and move. There are three ways to handle this that he can think of right off the bat.]
