[Ever since regaining her memories, Raven has been busy as a bee in summer in the smithy. Not only does she have Masaomi’s long-ago request to work on, she has new and troubling things on her mind. The first order of business is to satisfy her customers, though.]

If you asked for an accessory from me I’m done with it. [That should cover Masaomi without having to name him specifically, and get any of her other customers in here too. Second on the list is to locate Sokka – might be easy, since he works there – and hand over the thing she’s been working on for him.

Then it’s an afternoon out, looking for the red singing creature first, then for anyone who loaned her the use of their lightning-resistant materials. She winds up at Good Spirits around dinnertime. There, Raven considers the bar. Drinking something – not necessarily the best idea.

But she can be coerced.]

[She's there. Looks like she's cleaning up a little bit; she turns around when someone comes in the door.]

Hey.

Hey. [He gives a half-smile and waves a little in greeting, then turns to let the door shut behind him.]

I heard you finished with some of your accessories.

[pendantry]

Yeah. [A half-shrug.] I think they work.

[fellpool]

[He tilts his head at her comment.] You can't tell?

[pendantry]

[Raven shakes her head.] He didn't give me anything specific. They're supposed to resist lightning and they do.

[She'll spread them before him to look at- two earrings that do not match, a necklace charm, and a brooch.]

[fellpool]

[He smiles a little when he sees the necklace charm; it's that in particular that he likes, since those are the accessories he tends to wear.]

Did you make all of these with the materials I gave you?

[pendantry]

Parts of them. [Ideas and other materials came from other places. The earrings have the most of his odd diamond-crystal in them, and they work the best.]

Do you...want that one?

[fellpool]

[He blinks in surprise at the question, his eyes averting from the charm back to Raven.]

I thought these were supposed to go to your customers?

[pendantry]

These are...examples? [The word she wants is 'prototypes' but she doesn't know it.] To see what would work.

[fellpool]

Oh. ...Well, if that's the case, I wouldn't mind. It's neat to see what other people can make.

[pendantry]

Here, take it. [Shrug.] I don't need it anyway.

[But he might want to know:] It doesn't absorb lightning.

[fellpool]

[He tentatively picks up the necklace charm, holding it up so he can get a better look at it.]

Huh. Not even a little?

[pendantry]

It gives you stronger lightning magic instead.

[That one took her a while to figure out, actually.]

[fellpool]

[His eyebrows disappear into his hairline at that, and he nods appreciatively at Raven's explanation.]

Not what you were going for obviously, but it can definitely be useful to someone.

[pendantry]

So you don't want it?

[fellpool]

Well... I don't really practice lightning magic often, so it wouldn't be a bad idea to have an amplifying charm. [He smiles a little.] So if you don't mind, I'll take it.

[pendantry]

I don't mind. Go ahead.

[It's still weird not to charge anything for it. That was how Gaius's shop survived, really.]

[fellpool]

Thanks, Raven. [He fiddles with the charm for a moment before focusing on her again.] If you'd like to try some other gems sometime, just let me know. I'd be happy to help.

What else do you have?

[Always. She can sit and make things, unsolicited, for hours.]

[fellpool]

[He hums thoughtfully.] I don't have any samples on me now, but... Let's see... [He starts noting with his fingers as he goes along.] Gold and silver, which are pretty common and don't have strong attributes themselves. Sapphire, ruby, star ruby, and green beryl, which I've used for weaponsmithing with Sokka. They can give elemental attributes -- sapphire has water, ruby and star ruby can have fire, and green beryl has wind.

There's also rarer ores and gems, but they're usually used for weapons or armor.

[pendantry]

We have crystals with elements in them. [Gems are different. Partially.] Hmm...

[She can show him one, though, since it's here behind the counter. A Fire Crystal, red and vaguely flame-shaped despite being made of stone. She holds it out to him in one gloved hand.

It's warm, if he chooses to take it.]

[fellpool]

[He tilts his head curiously when she mentions the crystals, watching her pull out a stone with a very distinct shape. When Raven holds it out to him, he takes it into both hands with interest.]

...It radiates its own heat?

[pendantry]

It's a Fire Crystal. ...You can keep it.

[Seems like a fair trade, and eventually she will find another.]

[fellpool]

[His lips purse with interest at Raven's explanation before forming a smile.]

Thank you. So these crystals are what you usually use for your accessories?

[pendantry]

[A curt nod.] Crystals and ores. Gems, sometimes, but they're harder to work with.
