I have new things for sale.

[Raven picks up the book, to turn it around and show off her new merchandise; some of it is jewelry, some of it is just her playing with metal - metal that came from stuff she took apart after finding it in the item shop. Then there is a row of decorative things. Kyle is visible on the other side of the counter, with a specific focus on the metal leaves and flowers of her potted "plants".]

Mmh, I shouldn't say "for sale". They don't cost anything. If you like them you can have one. [Most don't have any kind of attribute either, due to their just-plain-metal nature. The plants occasionally have gems and crystals as part of the flowers; there are a half-dozen birdnest objects, some with stone eggs inside and some with crystal eggs.

Raven's growing fear of being left alone makes her a clingier employee and, surprise surprise, a friendlier salesperson.]

Hmm... interesting. They are made of recycled material? Is this something that you are well-known for or are you able to... experiment in other ways?

Usually I make accessories. [A nod that he can't see to her counter display full of rings, bracelets, and so forth.] There isn't...a lot to do. So I tried new things.

I see...

[He pauses, as if trying to decide whether or not to ask something. Whether he should try to bring this up again.]

I have been looking for someone to make me a unique piece of jewellery. However, it... will not be just any normal trinket. Unfortunately, I am not sure how to pay for something like that. Do you take requests? What exactly would you want in return?

Those bird nests, how big are they?

[Raven picks one up, realizes he cannot see her, and sighs.]

One fits in both of my hands. About that size.

[Oh. Hm. Has he done this before?]

I don't need payment. There isn't any money here. What kind of accessory is it?

Hn... Could you make a bigger one? I could help with materials if needed.

[That was true enough, but somehow Eley had expected to give something in return. Perhaps he would think of something later, to say thank you. Provided what he has in mind even goes ahead of course.]

Some kind of pendant, or amulet. Something containing a pure stone of some kind. It... needs to hold something important. You might call it 'spirit', or 'essence'.

[Oh, those are interesting.

And shiny.

Souji turns his video on and points at the decorative things.]

Do you take commissions? They're very pretty.

[Asami is working on one of her own projects, her book resting open on the counter next to her, when she notices the entry from Raven. She peers at it for a moment, then stands and pokes her head around into the next part of the building to look for the redhead. She still has her goggles on.]

Get any bites on your offer?

How much bigger? [After a certain size, it would be pretty heavy, and the likelihood of putting stone-eggs into it goes down.]

Do you have an example? [Often, in dealing with crafting-and-magic from other worlds, it helps a lot to see what people mean when they try to describe a thing.

And what did it mean to "hold spirit" anyway? Does he want a hollow stone?]

Yes. [Even difficult things, she will at least try. Making "stuff" that wasn't meant to be useful or useful-decorative reminds her of Hiccup and she likes doing it.] It might take a while.

Mmh. [It comes with a nod, to differentiate it from the dozen other things that sound could mean.] The people answering want other things, though.

[Then Raven looks up and her head tilts to the side in consideration of the things on Asami's face. She's seen them before, and they always look so odd.]

I am afraid not... Even in my world, examples are said to be rare, assuming that they exist at all. They may very well be stories created by humans.

Yet... I wish to attempt something. Perhaps it would be easier if we met in person. Would you have any objection to that?

Maybe twice the size of that one. If not possible I will just take that one you have now.

[Pause.]

Actually I'll take two.

[Asami can't help but smile at that, as she looks over what Raven had on display.]

Can't really ever make people completely happy, hmm?

[And then she looks up to see Raven's odd expression, and she frowns.]

What? Do I have something on my face?

Oh, that's quite alright.

I was just wondering if you could make a little cat for me? Say... about this big? [He holds his index and thumb about two inches apart.] A little black cat?

I can pay you in something you like in return.

Two bigger ones? Or two of these? [Twice their size. Raven measures it with her hands as well as she can.] I could do one as big as you're asking.

Yes.

[Bet Asami wasn't expecting that answer.]

I like pendants. [Which is no real answer for him; it's to convey that she can make what she likes for herself, so no payment is necessary. She also likes flowers, but good luck getting her to admit it.]

That's pretty small. Made of metal? [Shaping metal would be easier and more forgiving than trying to work a crystal or stone into that shape.]

[Blink. No she really wasn't.]

[In fact, she tugs her goggles off and proceeds to check her face in the reflection on the front, not realizing the goggles themselves are the culprit. Because that's silly to her.]

There. [Goggles may not be a totally foreign concept but they were something on her face.] You could see through those?

[They seem wholly different from glasses, and everything. Also the smithy is a dirty place.]

No. You should come anyway, it's easier to understand in person.

[And maybe she's up for a challenge.]

If you can make one as big as what I asked I will take that and one of those you have now. Would that be okay?
