Two - June 1-3

[On the morning of June 1, shortly after sunrise, Luceti faces an angry bird.

No, not that angry bird. (Although it would be awesome.)

This one.

And she believes herself to be stuck in bird form and unable to change back. This is reason to panic. So the angry bird is also rather frantic, and may shoot fire before she realizes what she's doing. At least she knows how to fly, so there should be no crash landings unless she doesn't watch where she's going.

That will happen exactly once. Look out, C4. A legendary firebird of legend is running right into you (and only causing light damage, because she isn't going very fast).

She isn't flying with her journal, but the screeches of a wound-up bird of prey are hard to ignore.

Once someone has calmed her down, she'll roost impatiently on top of C2 when not doing a fly-by of the village. It's less chaotic this way. She doesn't fit inside her room.]

The wings fold back to her sides, and she leans in closer, bringing her left eye to be about level with his stare.

Yes. Raven.]

...You got turned into Ho-oh?

[Suppose a bird could shrug, make a 'tch' sound, and turn her head and upper body to the side enough that she'd be almost hiding behind her visible shoulder.

That's what Ho-Oh is doing right know.

She doesn't know. She thinks this is her actual bird form, larger-size, and she can't change back.]

[She... can't, but that's okay, she's staring up in fascinated awe anyway.]

Do you go into battle?

[Sometimes. If necessary. ...The feeling of the wolf's question doesn't quite match what Raven's idea of going into battle is. But. She nods twice, turning to look down with one eye. "Not always".]

[Adell pretty much gets snatched up by Raven as she flies down. But it's obviously not looking to crush him or anything so he'll play along for now.]

Hey! Whoa! Look, I'm sorry, it's not like I wanted to end up on that roof!

[Oh well that's just a little extremely noticeable.

There's a goddamn phoenix on the roof.

Interesting... I am glad to see that there are other spirits like you here.

...You're Ho-oh. You've been turned into a legendary Pokémon from my world. [He double checks to confirm this with his Pokédex, and yes, that is indeed the case. You're a wizard, Harry Ho-oh, Raven.]

What kind of name is that?

Raven's feathers fluff visibly, and she tilts her head in the other direction, eyes on the object in his hands.

It's very "show me." That's what she wants.]

June 1st

[Ondorus great. You're here. Raven settles herself a bit, tucking her wings against her sides and leaning forward to peer down at him.

Get up here.]

[icywing]

[No, the only thing she picked him up to do is almost-gently set him down again, on the ground, before making a majestic swoop and perching atop a nearby house.]

[Raven ruffles her strange feathers, settling into a position more comfortable for this conversation. Such as it is.

Is this wolf a war god? Wolves are monsters in Raven's world, able to become allies but far more likely to leap in with teeth bared. This one is larger than average, she thinks.]

[tsuntrader]

[Were he his normal self, he'd gladly and calmly show her. He'd be strangely soothed by her presence. It's Ho-oh. Ho-oh, who's been freed from the Mask of Ice's grasp.

...But he's not. While he very much respects Ho-oh, there's still a natural, instinctive tension that comes from being in its presence.] Can't you just take my word for it? I've seen you before, I've seen Ho-oh before, and I think I'm a good judge of the difference. You feel like Ho-oh.

[Wow. Someone's got his feathers ruffled.

Raven's look changes, and it seems she's trying to get a better look at Silver now. Still a half-demon?]

[tsuntrader]

[Yep. Tail's still out. ...What is she looking at?]

[icywing]

[Still not convinced he actually is one. She knows he didn't mention it in the beginning.

But that information seems to...settle her. She looks now more like a bird waiting to get back to her nest than one intending to burn down a village. She can't change back because this isn't her, it's a fire bird from a different place. As crazy as that is, at least it makes some kind of strange this-village-has-lost-it sense.]

[Well, he can live with that. The landing's pretty soft, especially for a bird spitting fire at him not a minute ago. He watches the bird perch on a nearby roof, and turns to face it.]

Yeah, I'm sorry about startling you. I got warped up there by this stupid experiment. I've never seen a bird like you around here before. Is that how you normally look?

[tsuntrader]

[Like he said, he doesn't go around with a billboard that says he's half-demon. Regardless, he's at least glad that she calmed down. He's done his good deed for the day.]

Have fun being some powerful near-deity bird for a few days.

[Scoff. This is a scoff, Silver. Raven already is a powerful near-deity bird. Or at least half of one. She fluffs her feathers and would probably chirp at him if this bird form were capable of such things.

What it does do is accidentally shoot fire. Oops.]

[Yeah Silver's just. Going to move back a little. And by move back a little I mean he's jumping the fuck away until he's a safer distance from Ho-oh!Raven. Rude, Raven. Rude.]

[She didn't mean it! Fire Rune magic is a bit different from this, you know.

She's giving him another look. What is she expected to do, now that this has happened? Maybe one of his friends can tell him what she wants to know.]

...What's that look about? [Maybe. He might be able to figure it out if he's given a minute.

[Ho-Oh is a dignified bird so this sound is not a squawk. But it should be.

"What do I do with this unnatural bird form?"]
