[Fighting and weather chaos seem to have given way to...new arrival chaos instead. Unless someone shows up from her world, Raven'll be steering clear of the New Feathers given half an opportunity, at least until they know more about what's going on.

No, today she's taking steps toward all the things she made tentative plans about. First, to the flower shop and the item shop, looking for seeds that might result in food that could restore Rune Magic. Or a certain special kind of blue flower, one she's not likely to find until the fall - but she'll look, for the flower and the seeds.

Then she swallows her weird mix of fear-pride and goes back to the smithy. Time to ask about work. Now that her arm has healed and she's gotten a little practice in again, making accessories doesn't sound bad at all. Whoever is around in there will see her awkwardly stare at the building for several minutes before going inside to stare in a similar fashion at them.

Next comes an early dinner at Seventh Heaven, and that's where she lays out the journal and a small bag of somethings and speaks a message.]

I want to talk to some of you. I'm at the restaurant. [A very long pause.] Do all worlds have monsters?

[[ooc: Basically, if you had a moment with Raven thus far since she's been here, she made you something while she was getting herself back into accessory-crafting shape. Anyone can run into her (literally, if you wish) as she wanders around the village and tries to eat dinner in peace.]]

[Interpreting her announcement of where she was as an invitation, Green decides to go where she is to answer her question. But, of course, part of it is to check on her. He hadn't seen her since their run-in on the moon base.]

She reaches into the bag she brought with her and takes something out. A metal pendant shaped a bit like a starburst - because those are her favorites, and what she's best at, and she happened to feel like it okay - set with a cut red crystal that will feel warm when he touches it. And she holds it out by its chain. Here.]

[He stares at it first, before taking it, looking at it.]

What's this?

[She completely looks away. Her hand hangs awkwardly for a few seconds before dropping back to her lap. Why can't he just take a thank-you for what it is?]

A...it's for you.

[Because he's had many admirers, so it's really difficult to tell with these kinds of gestures!]

I'm sorry I don't have anything to offer in kind.

[Ghk. He did it already doesn't he see that.]

Mmh. [It takes a decently high level of acquaintanceship to merit a "you're welcome" and there are possibly two entire people in Luceti (about five in the comprehensive universes) who might hear one from her.

She picked that one for him because of the fire lizard.]

[Oddly enough, he will be giving it to Scizor, to help it handle its double weakness against fire.]

So, you're asking about "monsters"?

You have monster allies. They fought with you.

They're called Pokémon. In my world, most people capture and train them. A symbiotic relationship, of sorts.

[Green decides at this point to sit down, since obviously he's going to be here and talking for a bit.]

I know what they're called. [Hi I've met Silver and Gold I am so sorry for you if you have to babysit them.] And that you train them to fight each other.

[The edge has come off of the implied "so you won't have to fight yourselves" but it's. Still there.]

I wasn't aware. [How was he to know! And he honestly only has fought alongside them.]

It's more than that, but it's not something so simply taught. The trainer is the one that provides direction in battle, but he also needs to be involved. Most Pokémon trainers don't understand this, but these trainers are the ones who fall short of the mark.

[All of this sounds so different when you are a monster yourself, you know. Sometimes Micah takes his monsters to fight with him (not often, mostly they help with his farming) but that feels different from this.]

Involved how?

A Pokémon relies on their trainer's ability to think on their feet, and to come up with a battle strategy. A trainer that needs to do that will inevitably have to be in the fight at their Pokémon's side, staying close and giving them guidance.

But you choose to meet with each other so your monsters will fight.

Does your world have organized sports? Contests of strength, endurance, tactics, et cetera?

[Contests. Raven's competitive feathers ruffle.]
