[On the morning of June 1, shortly after sunrise, Luceti faces an angry bird.

No, not that angry bird. (Although it would be awesome.)

And she believes herself to be stuck in bird form and unable to change back. This is reason to panic. So the angry bird is also rather frantic, and may shoot fire before she realizes what she's doing. At least she knows how to fly, so there should be no crash landings unless she doesn't watch where she's going.

That will happen exactly once. Look out, C4. A legendary firebird of legend is running right into you (and only causing light damage, because she isn't going very fast).

She isn't flying with her journal, but the screeches of a wound-up bird of prey are hard to ignore.

Once someone has calmed her down, she'll roost impatiently on top of C2 when not doing a fly-by of the village. It's less chaotic this way. She doesn't fit inside her room.]

[A young Moro is interested in this powerful, beautiful creature! She's even willing to get closer to it, carefully approaching the C2 building and staring up at it, unsure of how to introduce herself.]

[A wolf? In this body, Raven can see it clearly even at a distance. What does it want?]

[Moro waits for a bit, before speaking up. Her mouth doesn't move, but her voice is clear enough.]

Are you a fellow god?

[icywing]

[The bird shakes her head. No, not in this bird-form - as far as she knows. Her actual monster self...is debatable.]

Even so... you are beautiful. You are not a demon, are you?

[icywing]

[Another 'no'. She draws herself up to her full bird-height and spreads an impressive wingspan of red-gold-white-green feathers instead.

Do you know an otherworld's phoenix when you see one?]

[biteoffherhead]

[She's never seen one! Or even heard stories. Phoenixes tend not to be the battlefield-faring gods.]

You are impressive! Can I know your name?

[icywing]

[If there is any way Moro can interpret that chirp-screech-call as the "Raven" it is, then so be it.]

[She... can't, but that's okay, she's staring up in fascinated awe anyway.]

Do you go into battle?

[Sometimes. If necessary. ...The feeling of the wolf's question doesn't quite match what Raven's idea of going into battle is. But. She nods twice, turning to look down with one eye. "Not always".]

So you are not a war god, as I am.

Interesting... I am glad to see that there are other spirits like you here.

[Raven ruffles her strange feathers, settling into a position more comfortable for this conversation. Such as it is.

Is this wolf a war god? Wolves are monsters in Raven's world, able to become allies but far more likely to leap in with teeth bared. This one is larger than average, she thinks.]

I am Moro, and I hail from the mountain of the Forest Spirit. I am a young but mighty war god.

[Mountain of the Forest Spirit? That's nothing Raven has heard of, but it might be similar to the Forest of Beginnings. She nods.

Her actual life is a half-breed living among discriminating humans. Moro would probably appreciate the story.]
